So...I haven't seen the movie 'Iron man' and I think I might have missed getting to see it in theaters already.

and...

Well I'm just going to ask this than since I can't wait for it to be out on block buster.

Is it epic?

And... may someone give me a quick summary on what basically happens?
Even though I might have an idea on what does happen in it.

I thought it was pretty good, this coming from someone who's never read the comics books. I'd say it's more entertaining than epic, but from what I've heard it got really good reviews and seemed to be pretty true to the original comics. My personal favorite aspect of the film is that the main character changes throughout the story, which isn't always the case with action movies.

It's a pity you couldn't see it on the big screen, though, that kind of made it cooler to watch.

Tony Stark built this in a CAVE!

*ahem* What I mean to say is that the movie was quite excellent. Highly entertaining, and well done.

Basically, Tony Stark, billionaire and genius weapons manufacturer, gets kidnapped by a terrorist group and has to make them weapons. He makes the Iron Man suit and escapes. After he gets back home, he has a new sense of purpose and perfects his suit so as to fight against the terrorists and people like them.

And while I generally don't support Blockbuster as their rental prices are incredibly high, I do fully endorse the movie as it is awesome and well worth the price. I'll be buying the DVD when it comes out, for sure.

(also, awesome thing after the credits is awesome)

I think Iron Man had one of the best stingers of the movies I have seen that had stingers. If only because...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

As for my thoughts about the movie as a whole... when it comes to modern super hero movies, I think I liked this one more than Batman Begins and Spider-Man 1, which is really saying something because both of those movies were fantastic as well.

If you can still see it in theaters, you should try to, but otherwise rent the movie when it comes out. Or buy it, I don't think it would be a bad purchase.

The film reigned the box office and critical arena for two months before DC finally upended Marvel, but that shouldn’t diminish the surprisingly high quality of the Jon Favreau film. Despite great previews and a lot of buzz, I was skeptical as to whether a director who had never handled a large budget could make a movie about a tin man work, but my skepticism vanished quickly. Strangely, the movie doesn’t have as much as action as one would expect (I so wish that Afghanistan attack would have gone on for longer), but it still has the perfect bland of thrills, laughs and visual effects.
